AdlRuntimeConfig

AdlRuntimeConfig = AdlRuntimeOptions & object

Defined in: packages/core/src/runtime/types.ts:65

Options for createAdlRuntime.

optional defaults?: AdlRuntimeDefaults

optional effectGate?: EffectGate

Host policy after the debugger handler. Defaults to allowAllGate. Wrapped with the process debugger + import(”../effect/park”).parkingEffectGate on RuntimeServices.effectGate. Tool factories still require an explicit gate argument — pass runtime.services.effectGate to share this chain.

optional loadEnv?: boolean | { mode?: string; root?: string; }

Load .env* into process.env when constructing the runtime. Defaults to true (project root = process.cwd()). Pass false to skip, or { root } when the ADL project is not the cwd.

optional projectRoot?: string

Absolute ADL project root attached to RuntimeServices.projectRoot and forwarded on the tool-provider envelope. Prefer letting LoadedAdlProject overwrite this from project.root. Set explicitly only for tests that never load a project.

optional telemetry?: AdlOpenTelemetrySettings

OpenTelemetry / AI SDK telemetry (not Vercel product telemetry).

optional tools?: ToolSet

Merged under each agent’s tools (agent keys win).

optional version?: string | false

Identifies which version of the project’s code a run came from, recorded as a version:<value> tag on every workflow.run() and agent.run(). Overrides the commit that would otherwise be resolved from jj or git — set it for a release identifier, or for a project with no VCS at all.

false disables run version tagging entirely, including the VCS lookup. Use it when tags must not depend on ambient repository state — a test asserting a run’s exact tags, for instance. createTestRuntime defaults to this.
